“As far back as I can remember I wanted to ‘be creative’. Creativity shapes my life, it’s what makes me happy, and it’s what keeps me awake at night. I worked my way up from my first role, aged 16, as ‘Junior Artist’ for my local newspaper in Cumbria, through to my first Creative Director role over 20 years ago (I’m proud to be counted as one of only 11% of women in this role). Whilst graphic design is my trade, conceptual development is what really excites me. I met Laurie nearly 17 years ago and something just clicked between us. We work in partnership and collaborate with a core group of brilliantly creative people.”

Why Them?

The million dollar question and one we help clients to answer for themselves on a weekly basis. We believe the exploration of an organisation’s brand is a process that challenges and rewards in equal measure. Clarity brings with it connection and that’s what underpins all we do. We place our trust in strategy, considered debate and the kind of instinct that is honed from decades of experience. We’re in it for the long haul but we also understand the agency you want is the one you don’t always need. We equip our clients with work that means if they choose to work autonomously, they can.

Working together might even mean working with other agencies — internal and external. Many of our clients have worked with us for over a decade, in some cases over two. In that time we’ve challenged them but our relationships have been both enduring and mutually rewarding. We understand that the outside perspective we bring is welcomed and rejuvenating. We like to be clear on money – a rarity in the agency world. We don’t operate retainers, we price by project so you always know what you’re in for. The best way we secure future work, is to make sure our clients get the value from us that leaves them wanting more.

We’ll even scope a project and spread the cost over a period of months. It keeps the numbers more palatable, delivers a return for clients more immediately and helps our cash flow. What’s not to like?
